California Condor! Another endangered species that is looking to caputure your attention and your support. The California condor is the largest bird in North America. It's basically as close to a modern dinosaur as you can get. The population fell to just 22 birds in the 1980s, but there are now about 275 free-flying birds in California, Utah, Arizona, and Baja California with more than 160 in captivity. The thing that is threatening them? Lead poisoning. Us, too California Condor, us too.
